EBS staff have been involved with the investigations, analysis and monitoring
of a large number of churches and other religious buildings to provide
recommendations for damp, dry rot, moulds, woodworm, Death watch beetle,
environmental control and sustainable conservation solutions. The following
list describes a selection of these buildings.

investigations.
- Investigation of the masonry moisture contents.
- Investigation of the internal environment and extensive environmental
monitoring.
- Thermal modelling and building simulation of the building envelope
to identify cost-effective environmental strategies to minimise the
potential of mould growth and decrease the possibility of any future
damage to the decorative finishes & building fabric.
- Infiltration testing (tracer gas technique) to assess background
ventilation levels and its affect on mould growth.
