We were pleased to welcome 35 delegates, representing many different disciplines within the building conservation industry.

The following session, Damp, Environmental Monitoring, Drying out Fire & Flood Damaged Buildings (Threats to our Cultural Heritage & Building Fabric) was led by Mr. Huw Lloyd.

After a break and a welcome buffet lunch, Dr. Jagjit Singh presented the final lecture on Dry Rot (A threat to our Architectural Heritage & Building Fabric).  This briefing presented ways forward for architectural, engineering and scientific sustainable solutions.

Practical demonstrations were given for diagnostic, non-destructive inspection, damp and moisture monitoring, Resistograph inspection of timber decay, dry rot, wet rots and mould.   These methods were discussed in detail around the instrumentation and specimen table.

An excellent response was received from all the delegates.
