EBS offer a comprehensive service covering health and safety checks for water tanks risk assessment in accordance with the requirements of the Health and Safety Commission document L8 "The Control of Legionella Bacteria in Water". This document is the Approved Code of Practise (ACOP) and provides guidance regarding best practice and identifies various items of plant as being high, medium or low risk.
- Examination of water tank system and associated parts
- Collection of information for preparation of schematic diagrams of water distribution system.
- Inspection of surfaces/equipment
- Assessment of design and materials utilised
- Collection of samples for bacteriological analysis.
- Collection of samples for mycological analysis to determine the toxic/pathogenic types, viability and extent of contamination
- Samples collected on site will be subjected to laboratory analysis.
